Kinissi Palace hotel is a 1st Class establishment located in the heart of the Thessaloniki business district (at the corner of Egnatia and Syngrou streets) with a total of 49 rooms and 3 suites.
Built in 1924 by brothers Aaron and Isaac Sakkis, the "modern" hotel was designed by K. Kokoropoulos and A. Zachariadis, several of whose buildings in Thessaloniki have since been listed.
After about 40 years in operation, the hotel eventually closed its doors in the 1960s. In 1995 the Ministry of Culture listed the building as a historic monument, and three years later work began on plans for its reconstruction and restoration under the supervision and guidance of the 4th Ephorate of Modern Monuments in Thessaloniki. The hotel was renamed as Kinissi Palace, and on 30.08.2000 it once again began to welcome guests.
